Bedford County Sheriff's Office Investigator Receives State Award

Sheriff Mike Brown is proud to announce that Investigative Sergeant Gary Babb has been recognized by the Virginia Homicide Investigators Association for his outstanding dedication to homicide investigations. This award is presented to three homicide investigators throughout the state of Virginia. Investigator Gary Babb was nominated for this prestigious award based on his perseverance that lead to the conviction of Roy Sluder for the 1995 murder of Lori Sluder. An awards banquet was held in Williamsburg, VA on October 1, 2002.
