Deputy Rachel Crabtree Named Deputy of the Month

Bedford, VA – Sheriff Brown has announced this month’s Deputy of the Month is Deputy Rachel Crabtree. Her supervisor, Sgt. Ben Rea, nominated Crabtree, highlighting that she demonstrated exceptional effort and utilized her investigative skills that lead to the arrest of a suspect, solving an armed robbery. “It takes drive and determination to find and follow-up on key suspects”, Sheriff Brown says. “Deputy Crabtree demonstrated good old-fashioned police work that landed this crook behind bars.”

The victims of this armed robbery also expressed their relief that this perpetrator is now behind bars and they can all rest easier.
