Press Release

Sheriff Mike Brown Arrested! (Gotcha attention, eh?)

Sheriff Mike Brown will be arrested and transported to the “lock-up” located at the Saturn Car Dealership, 22022 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, Virginia, Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 3:00 PM. Sheriff Brown will be attired in a very stylish horizontal black and white prison uniform graciously supplied by the Blue Ridge Regional Jail (BRRJ), (he would have preferred vertical stripes…”makes me look thinner,” he said). The uniform is reminiscent of the Southern Chain Gangs…minus the leg irons.

Sheriff Brown will, after the initial booking procedures, attempt to raise bond for his alleged criminal activities…it is reported that the Sheriff could be heard screaming “I’m innocent, I’m innocent.” “Yea, yea, we hear that all the time,” snorted Chris Webb and Elton Blackstock, BRRJ Administrator and Asst. Administrator, respectively.

Sheriff Brown is honored to be a part of a fund raising effort benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) in Memphis, Tennessee. SJCRH is one of the world’s premier centers for research and treatment of catastrophic diseases in children, primarily pediatric cancers.

“This effort to raise funds for children who are ill goes hand-in-hand with the efforts of Operation Blue Ridge Thunder…both are designed to protect and to assist those who can’t protect themselves…our children.”, Brown Said.
