Bedford County Sheriff Shows Support For Our Troops
As a show of support and appreciation, Bedford County Sheriff, Mike Brown, has issued "Support Our Troops" yellow ribbons on all Sheriff's Office vehicles during a press conference held on May 17th, 2004 on the front lawn of the Sheriff's Office Headquarters.
These special yellow ribbon decals were purchased form the "Family Support Group of C Company, 2nd 103rd and all proceeds benefit the families of the soldiers serving overseas.
"This is a way to convey our support and remind others to do the same", says Sheriff Brown. "I hope other agencies will join us in this act of patriotism and pride". "To all the troops overseas, please know that we recognize your hardships and appreciate your commitment to the safety of our homeland. This is our little way of giving back to our soldiers by helping watch over the loved ones they had to leave behind", says Brown.

Members of the R.S.V.P. Team (Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol) place a yellow ribbon on one of their marked Volunteer units.
