"This award is an annual recognition of a NW3C voting member agency whose accomplishments most exemplify support of NW3C's mission to support the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of economic and high-tech crimes and to support and partner with other appropriate entities in initiatives addressing homeland security.
This award has special significance to us because it is a chance for NW3C to acknowledge and praise one of its member agencies for a job well-done over the past year. It is also an opportunity for us to give a deserving agency a platform to share its vision in hopes that your success would inspire others to reach new heights.
We are proud to recognize Sheriff Mike Brown and the Bedford County Sheriff's Office in Virginia as the recipient of our annual NW3C Member Agency Award for Excellence.
Based on its "Community Achievement" during the past year and the agency's continued participation in and support of NW3C sponsored training, support services, projects, events, and partnerships, Sheriff Mike Brown and the Bedford County Sheriff's Office have significantly contributed to the success of NW3C in fulfilling its mission. The Bedford County Sheriff's Office was chosen from over 1,600 participating agencies, representing all fifty states, to receive this prestigious award. Their efforts in the area of Internet Crimes Against Children, a DOJ Task Force, and Internet Safety Education are to be commended and highlighted as contributing factors in this award.
Please join us in congratulating the Bedford County Sheriff's Office, the recipient of the 2004 NW3C Member Agency Award for Excellence for 2004."
