Remains Identified

Bedford, VA – Bedford County Sheriff’s Investigators announced the identification of the human remains found in Montvale, November 21st.

Deputies responded to a citizen’s call, to what appeared to be human remains found in a field. Though the body was badly decomposed, further research by the medical examiner confirmed the body to be that of Ruben Fonseca, 25, of Roanoke County.

The cause of death at this time is unknown. Sheriff Brown is awaiting further reports from the medical examiner.
