Sheriff's Office Investigates Thaxton Shooting

THAXTON, VA - The Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a call at 10:36 p.m. Wednesday night reporting that a man had been shot at 1757 Thaxton School Road in Thaxton. Deputies responded to the location and found a white male had been shot several times. The victim was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

The victim's condition is unknown at the time.

Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident.
