Montvale couple arrested on drug charges.

As a result of a joint investigation between the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office Vice investigators, the Bedford City Police Department and the Virginia State Police, a Bedford County couple was arrested Sunday night at their home located at 8656 Pike Road, Montvale, Va. A search warrant was executed and a large amount of marijuana, grow lights, weapons and scales were seized from their home.

Jason Lee Mason, age 28, was arrested and charged with two counts of distribution of marijuana, one charge of possessing a firearm while in possession of illegal drugs, one charge of manufacturing marijuana and one charge of child endangerment.

Joanie Leigh Mason, age 28, was arrested and charged with one count of distribution of marijuana, one count of manufacturing marijuana, one count of possessing a firearm while in possession of illegal drugs and one count of child endangerment.

Both are being held in Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford on no bond.

The couple’s two year old child was removed from the home and placed in the custody of Bedford County Social Services.
