At 10:56 a.m. today, Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a call advising that a Hispanic man had fallen at a construction site on Whispering Springs Court, which is in the Farmington subdivision off Perrowville Road in Forest.
 
Bedford County Sheriff’s investigators and rescue units were dispatched to the scene and the victim died at the scene. The medical examiner was contacted and the body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy. Officials from the Dept. of Labor were also on the scene. The victim was working for Thomas Builders.
 
At this time, it appears that the victim fell approximately 10 feet from the first level of a house that was under construction to the concrete basement floor. Co-workers heard something and found the victim lying face down on the floor.
 At this time the victim’s identity is unknown and sheriff’s investigators are attempting to locate possible family members.
