WMD - Community Partnership and Awareness Training
Bedford, VA – The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office and the Bedford County/City Chapter of the NAACP will co-host the “Community Partnership and Awareness Training” program at the Sheriff’s Office on May 4th and 5th, 2004.
This program was developed by the Office for Domestic Preparedness and will be presented by members of the National Sheriff’s Association.
The media is invited to attend for public information and interviews during day 2 of the training:

The business, faith, academic and professional communities will be participating along with members of surrounding law enforcement agencies. The goal of the program is to educate communities, nation-wide, on how to identify possible terrorist targets, assess the level of threat to those targets and determine the resources required to effectively neutralize or minimize an attack.
