Sheriff Brown Recognizes Outstanding Employee
Deputy of the Month
Bedford,
VA

Sheriff Mike Brown has
named Deputy Adam Hopkins as Deputy of the Month.
Deputy Hopkins is being recognized for his steadfast commitment to the
safety and well-being of Bedford County's animals as well as the safety of
all citizens. Hopkins graduated the Animal Control
Academy in Chesapeake and has completed a special seminar
on dog fighting and the crimes related to such activity. Hopkins is respected for
his high rate of calls-per-month, but he is also recognized for his
response to other calls for service such as stranded motorists, traffic
assistance for motor vehicle accidents, and burn ban enforcement. "Deputy Hopkins goes above and beyond the call of duty everyday",
says Sheriff Brown, "I am proud to
recognize him on a job well done."
Deputy Hopkins has also completed training by Bedford Fire now allowing
him to aid in fighting forest fires both in
Bedford County and throughout the state of Virginia.
Sheriff Brown presented Hopkins with a plaque that read; "In
recognition of your exemplary performance, demonstration of
professionalism and unselfish devotion to duty".
